Squid Cuttlefish 9:1 Action Ultralight Boat Fishing Rod
I recently took the Squid Cuttlefish Boat Rod out on the water to see if its ultralight build could actually handle the demands of cephalopod fishing. This 2026 model promises a unique 9:1 action that is specifically tuned for the twitchy retrieval styles required for these web-footed creatures.
Performance & Build Quality
The construction feels surprisingly robust given that it weighs only 61 grams, keeping arm fatigue to an absolute minimum during long sessions on the boat. The two-section design is perfectly machined, ensuring that the rod maintains a consistent curve and structural integrity when under load. It feels like a high-end tool designed to withstand the persistent tug of sea creatures while maintaining enough sensitivity to feel every tap.
Day-to-Day Experience
Assembly is quick and intuitive, which is a major plus when you are trying to set up on a rocking boat. The 9:1 action makes casting effortless and gives you a distinct advantage when manipulating lures to attract squid. It is remarkably easy to transport, fitting into standard tackle bags without any hassle.
This is an ideal choice for dedicated boat anglers looking to upgrade their squid jigging setup with a lightweight, high-performance rod.
Final Thoughts
Overall, the Squid Cuttlefish Rod is a standout piece of gear that earns its 4.94/5 rating through sheer reliability and thoughtful engineering. At $99.00, it represents a smart investment for anyone serious about their sea fishing success this year.
